A lively, crowded and all in all successful event took place on Sunday the 1st of November in Thessaloniki with the title “The entrepreneurship of Thessaloniki on the clouds”.
Basic goal of the event was to promote the Storm Clouds programme and also advertise the Smart City project, which is available through the main site of the Municipality (https://smartcity.thessaloniki.gr/virtual-city-market/el/index.html).
Through printed leaflets, audio and video material, shop owners, buyers and many passers-by of the seafront of Thessaloniki, in the lower part of Aristotelous’ square, had the chance to get acquainted with the possibilities of the Smart City.
The digital platform provided for free to all the entrepreneurs of the city who want to advertise their products on line has already reached almost 500 listed shops, located mainly in the centre of Thessaloniki.
The deputy mayor Petros Lekakis saluted the event, while both the chief of the Department of Entrepreneurship Stelios Zachariou and Panagiotis Tsarchopoulos, member of the Urenio Unit of the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki, underlined the importance of the project and the need for the citizens of the city not only to embrace the initiative but also to make the best of it.
